Happy New Year all!
So, Christmas is over.I (Steinunn) spent 9 days on 'Hotel Mamma' which is a 5 star hotel in Mosfellsbær, Iceland. The food at this hotel is superb, the hotel owners top class and there is even a big pool almost ready some 100m away. All joke aside, it felt really good to come home and be able to BE AT HOME for more than the regular 5 seconds. I felt that if I had stayed an extra 3 days i could have been intergrated again, good thing I went back, eh!
Since I've been home (to DK this time around) I have worked, eaten good food from home (my parents sent me home with goodies from Iceland... fish, fish, fish, and some more fish), hugged Søren and yeah, gotten a really cool part time job!
You see, last summer when I was looking for a more stable job, I sent aplications to just about every hotel and kindergarden I found in a 25km radius from Roskilde. One of those hostels sent me an email offering me a job just before the new year. The best part is, that it's right here in Roskilde! After spending about 2,5- 3 hours per day on transport, going back and forth from Sengeløse for the past 6 months, I can hardly believe my luck. I actually have gotten a 'studie job' 12 minutes WALKING from my home! That is, 4 minutes biking :) I will be working in the reception and can CHOOSE how many hours I want to work every month and if I can't work for a whole week or two because of school, then it's no problem. Then if I want extra hours, that's no problem either. Oh, and I can have this job until I finish RUC. Pretty neat, eh!
So, that's pretty much what's been going on with me since the year started... Søren will post his update later on :)
